Person will be responsible monitoring actual progress against planned routes for all drivers

• Coordinate with drivers to make sure all routes are on schedule.
• Advise drivers of changes in traffic conditions and review actual route traffic efficiency.
• Assign afternoon routes to drivers based on estimated scheduled return time to 8 Net.
• In cases of route delays make the required internal and customer notifications.
• Coordinate with drivers and make necessary approved route or schedule changes with drivers.
• Customer interaction:
• Contact delivery customers with special requirements e.g. COD Delivery, Appointments, Pick-up to make sure everything is ready and our drivers will not be delayed at each location.
• Update estimated dwell times and hours of operation for each location.
• Must have recent, verifiable experience in Dispatching
• Must be Bilingual: English and Spanish

Requires firm understanding of the following:

• Southern California Cities, Freeways, and Traffic Conditions...prefer 10 years in area
• Previous experience in using Tom Tom Webfleet or other similar Fleet Management Software.
• Understanding of Truck routes and commercial vehicle access restrictions.
• Understanding of pick-up and delivery accessorial requirements e.g. dock-to-dock, lift-gate required, pallet jack required, inside delivery
• Understanding of capacity and weight restrictions for 48’ Trailers, 53’ Trailers, Bobtails
