77 Consultants is Hiring an Avionics Technician Near Atlanta, GA

As an Avionics Tech , you will play a vital role in the maintenance and repair of avionics systems in aircraft. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, and repairing various avionics equipment, ensuring that they are functioning optimally and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests on avionics systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Install, maintain, and repair avionics equipment, including navigation systems, communication systems, radar systems, and autopilot systems.
  • Calibrate and configure avionics equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex avionics issues.
  • Follow manufacturer's guidelines, technical manuals, and procedures to perform avionics maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly, including work performed, parts used, and inspections conducted.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in avionics technology and industry best practices.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to pilots and other relevant personnel.
 

Requirements:

Airframe & Power plant Certificate and/or FCC License are highly preferred.

Eligibility for designation as a Production Inspector is required.

Ability to attain & retain AOA badge or fulfill Airport requirements.

High school graduate or equivalent degree is mandatory.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145 is necessary.

Minimum of five years of experience in avionics installation is required.

  • Hold a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certificate.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as an Avionics Technician.
  • Proficient knowledge of avionics systems, including navigation systems, communication systems, radar systems, and autopilot systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex avionics issues.
  • Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of avionics equipment.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and ability to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to document maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with others to achieve maintenance goals.
  • Strong commitment to safety, following all safety procedures and practices at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
