The Harvester role is a fast paced, dynamic, hands-on role, with a primary focus of carefully harvesting live whole plants, in a variety of techniques, ensuring high standards of handling and attention to detail. The Harvester is a bridge between the Cultivation areas and the Wet and Dry harvest rooms, delivering plants to the team in a timely manner while adhering to all 710 Labs Standard Operating procedures. This role is critical to the pace and functionality of the Harvest department, and supports Harvest, Cultivation and Nursery teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment on your feet all day, standing, squatting, bending, and lifting more than 25lbs
  • Harvest whole plants from the flowering rooms and deliver to Wet and Dry harvest rooms while adhering to all SOPs and safety procedures.
  • Maintain close attention to detail, ensuring all plant tags and identification are fixed to the plants in transit.
  • Must be comfortable working in hot and humid, or cold environments for extended periods of time.
  • Maintain a clean and organized storage area and proper stewardship of all relevant tools or equipment.
  • Remove green waste and used grow media (coco coir) from cultivation sites, load into baler, and dispose of into a dumpster. Clear newly emptied flower rooms of trellis, sachets, and plant material left behind.
  • Clean up spills and leaks, ensure safety signs are visible to employees for wet floors, oily surfaces, and other occupational hazards.
  • Report any observations or concerns to leadership, including QC related concerns when working with plants.
  • Maintain strong communication, verbal, email, and slack with fellow Harvest team members and leadership.
  • Assist with wet/dry harvest room set up and close-down procedures.
  • Regular and timely cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing of product storage bins.
  • Wear required PPE and exercise proper sanitation protocols.
  • Work as a team, and sometimes on solo tasks.
  • Protect the integrity of the product by keeping it free of contaminants.
  • Weigh plants and use hanging scales as outlined in the Harvest SOPs.
  • Work with teammates to trim plants in a fast and efficient manner.
  • Participate, as needed, in various Harvest tasks (including Dry and Wet trimming, defoliating, sanitation, etc.), and light maintenance duties.
  • Perform any other tasks delegated by the Harvest Manager or Director of Cultivation.
Qualifications
  • For extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking through the workday.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced mobility and perform repetitive tasks for up to 8 hours in length.
  • Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
