Building Name: Porter - Porter Medical Center Location Address: 115 Porter Drive, Middlebury Vermont Regular Department: Porter - Plant Operations Full Time Standard Hours: 40 Shift: Day Primary Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Weekend Needs: Other Salary Range: Min $16.03 Mid $20.04 Max $24.04 Recruiter: Jason Dubuque Job Description The Maintenance Tech I performs general routine maintenance and servicing throughout the hospital and areas as directed hands on technical over sight and coordination of daily activities at the shop level. They will assist the lead where needed, coordinate work and make recommendations to the lead on the day to day activities of the shop. He/she shall help schedule corrective and preventive maintenance for installation and repair activities on all building systems as required. They shall not directly supervise the worker but will ensure that all work is completed per the direction of the lead and that work complies with local, state and federal guidelines and codes. Education High School or GED. Experience A minimum of three years experience in Healthcare Facilities Management, licensure or 10 years of trade experience. Knowledge/Special Skills Must be an expert in their area of expertise. He/she must have a keen customer service orientation and ability to communicate and listen effectively. Must be able to coordinate and manage project work as assigned by the lead. Must possess a strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and building systems as required in the area of oversight. May be asked to hold a certification or licensure depending on area of oversight.
