The Resident Facilities Engineer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure for Mohawk’s fabrication operations in New London and Groton. Managing the company’s AISC certification will be part of the responsibilities for this position, including conducting the annual audit. This position will analyze material and labor costs, review construction bids, and make contractual recommendations for active projects. Other duties may include reviewing procedures to ensure compliance with project and industry standards.

This position is responsible for performing analyses of operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, safety processes, and recommends and implements improvements. Evaluating operational readiness, i.e., operational processes, resource allocation, energy use, safety processes, etc. with Senior Executives is critical to this role. Planning and programming efforts associated with fabrication projects. Costs assessments for operational risk management and project scheduling is critical to this role to assess the facilities capabilities or gaps with the existing infrastructure.

This position will be based out of Mohawk’s New London office. When site visits are required, a company vehicle will be made available to you. Full time hours, Monday through Friday is a minimum. Additional shifts to accommodate project needs will have to be managed by this role.
