We are looking for a part-time Liquor Store Associates/Cashiers to provide excellent customer service and assist our customers with their selection. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. This role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere.

This position also observes customers and checks identification for age verification, identifying customers who should not be served additional alcohol and monitoring customers to assist in the prevention of open containers leaving the store. As well as deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers
• Checking out and ring up customers transactions
• Provide accurate information on products and pricing.
• Answer customers’ questions about specific products
• Ensure racks, coolers and shelves are fully stocked
• Inform customers about discounts and special offers
• Stay up-to-date with new products and pricing.

Skills

• Proven work experience as a liquor Store Associate, Cashier, or similar role
• Understanding of the retail sales process
• Familiarity with consumer behavior principles and laws
• Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures
• Basic math skills
• Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• High school degree
• Previous Liquor Store experience preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
