We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is seeking a South Florida Area Operations Lead based out of our Miami, FL office! In this role, you will oversee operations, business development and more for our Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Area Operations Lead within our Florida operations. The Area Operations Lead will report to the Florida regional manager, VP and play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the operational aspects of the projects and the staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with specialized expertise in design and project management of transportation projects. As the Area Operations Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, fostering collaboration within the team, profitability and growth of the operation and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the operational activities of the group, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of transportation projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to establish project goals, objectives, and strategies for successful project execution. Provide guidance and support to project teams, resolving technical and operational issues as they arise. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and issues. Coordinate with internal departments, such as procurement, finance, and human resources, to ensure smooth project operations and resource allocation. Lead and participate in project review meetings, providing updates on project status, performance metrics, and lessons learned. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the highway design group, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing among team members. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to highway design and project management, and incorporate them into project execution strategies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field FL P.E. license or ability to quickly reciprocate the P.E. license from another state Minimum of 15 years of experience in transportation design and project management within the transportation engineering industry. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Proven track record of successfully managing complex transportation projects, from conception to completion, within budget and schedule constraints. Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions.
