POSITION: Armed Security Officer – Facility Protection
The Security Officer will serve as an armed facility protection specialist for a large multi-family apartment complex within the city limits of Cape Girardeau, MO. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Property protection & roving property patrol.
- Employee, contractor, and patron escort.
- Surveillance and critical process oversight.
- De-escalation of civil matters
- Enforcement of facility rules of order and ordinances
- Observe, document and report dangerous criminal activity to law enforcement.
- Use of armed or physical force in the protection of self, employees, visitors, and residents; may be required.
As a condition of employment, all Security Officers, regardless of rank or seniority, shall be subject to having safe, legal, and reasonable duties assigned to them by facility management to maximize safe, efficient, and profitable facility operation.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour

Schedule:
- 2000-0400 Night shift - opportunity for days through advancement.
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One or more of the following:
- Armed Security: 5 years experience
- Military Police
- National Guard or Reserve: 4 years experience
- Law Enforcement: 2 years experience
- Must have transportation or ability to commute to a work place.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- US Military Service Members – Former, Retired, or Guard/Reservist. MUST have Armed Security Experience
- Current or former Missouri POST certified Police Officers
- Current career public safety professionals with extensive experience in emergency and citizen services.
- Ability to complete a firearm safety course and range qualify with the duty weapon on a company administered proficiency table.
