We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Chemist to join our team at a contract manufacturing facility specializing in the production of personal care products and cosmetics. The successful candidate will play a key role in formulating, testing, and ensuring the quality of our products. This position requires a passion for cosmetic chemistry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Salary: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule: 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

Product Formulation:

• Contribute to the development and formulation of personal care and cosmetic products.
• Collaborate with senior chemists and R&D teams to create innovative and effective formulations.

Quality Control:

• Perform routine testing and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications, troubleshooting and addressing any deviations.

Lab Maintenance:

• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
• Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

Documentation:

• Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately.
• Prepare technical reports and assist in maintaining product development records.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay informed about industry regulations and standards related to personal care and cosmetic products.
• Ensure products comply with relevant regulations and certifications.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and marketing, to ensure smooth product development and launch.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
• Prior experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in cosmetics or personal care product development.
• Strong understanding of cosmetic chemistry principles and formulation techniques.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the cosmetics industry.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques and instruments used in cosmetic testing.
