Growers maintain the company's horticultural product by growing and caring to produce retail sales. They apply technical procedures, timing, and metering devices that control frequency, and amount and type of nutrient applications such as regulating the humidity, ventilation, and temperature and light. Additionally, they perform the dispensing of fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides. This position is located in Fort Lauderdale and It's for a wholesaler who sells different types of plants to landscaping and nurseries.

This is Full time opportunity Monday - Friday

Salary: $65K

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage controlled environments and greenhouses.
• Work on plants, clone, up pot, feed, water.
• Supervise the safety and cleanliness of the work environment.
• Create hanging baskets and planters for sales and special orders.
• Skills at operating riding and push lawn mowers, edgers, trimmers, shovels and rakes.
• Water plants, distribute nutrients, sterilizing grow rooms, inspect for diseases, & trim during harvest time.
• Reduce shrink through training of growers in improve irrigation, fertilization, IPM scouting, and PGR application practices.
• Supervise and develop organic IPM measures, bio-control practices and beneficial insect utilization.
• Produce solar grade silicon crystals by operating multiple crystal growing furnaces simultaneously while adhering to strict specification requirements.
• Obtain knowledge working with greenhouse machinery including pot fillers, threshers, seed counters, blowers, and balances.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in plant growing and research.
• Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Strong knowledge of plant care, including watering, feeding, and disease control.
• Proficiency in operating lawn mowers, trimmers, and other gardening tools.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and work in a fast-paced environment.
