We are seeking a Team Lead - Laboratory Operations to join Q² Solutions, IQVIA’s laboratory business at Durham, NC.

As a Team Lead - Laboratory Operations, you will be responsible for performing complex testing procedures to obtain data from clinical specimens and assisting in the oversight of daily operations. You will provide technical insight for equipment/platform selection and technical transfer of assays and act as the primary point of contact for daily technical and logistical inquiries from the team.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Performing and documenting testing in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Exercising good judgment in assessing whether test procedure is proceeding according to expectations.
  • Scheduling in assigned area and ensuring adequate supplies for testing.
  • Onboarding and lab training, systems training of junior level staff.
  • Proactively planning for resourcing and reagent needs.
  • Assisting with monitoring of compliance and quality incidents to ensure resolution.
  • Assisting team Manager with new initiatives and coordination of team delivery.
  • Identifying, implementing, and communicating process improvements.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BSc in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology or cytotechnology.
  • 2-3 year of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Sound knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in job area.
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and guide others.
  • Working knowledge of any applicable regulatory standards within area of responsibility, such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Proficiency with general lab techniques and complex laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens.
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and resolve process issues.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $55,500.00 - $92,500.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
