INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST

Position Summary:

The Inventory Control Specialist will assist the warehouse and supply chain department by taking ownership of the process to maintain accurate inventory levels on the warehouse floor.

Schedule:

8am-5pm M-F with the possibility for overtime as needed

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Perform cycle counts regularly
• Audit and reconcile bin locations
• Identify and report root causes of inventory variances
• Ensure all items are received and stored in correct locations
• Ensure WMS best practices are followed pertaining to inventory transfers, cycle counts, spoilage accounting and receiving product
• Assist in managing WMS bin rules
• Work directly with supply chain to resolve and update inventory variances

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum One year certificate from college or tech school OR, One year related working experience
• Understanding of inventory control systems such as ERP and/or WMS systems
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Physical Demands/Safety:

• Constant moderate physical effort including walking, standing, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
