We are looking for a Technical Logistics Engineer for wind power logistics Pre-Sales support. Do you want to be a part of a global team specialized within logistics and transportation of our Wind turbines? Then we might have the position for you. The team consist of 40 highly skilled and motivated colleagues. The logistics department consists of 4 high-performance teams. Logistics Project Management, Logistics Engineering, Logistics Project Operations and Logistics Material Management situated in Hamburg (Germany), Brande (Denmark) and Solna (Sweden). We take pride in fulfilling our mission: “Delivery of safe, high performance and cost beneficial logistic solutions” and vision: “Efficient deliveries to project site that increase installation speed and reduce cost”. How to contribute to our vision The technical logistics engineer will support the sales organization with technical due diligence and route and port surveys. This entails surveying and determining the best technical and commercial ports for vessels in the project destination country and the best technical and commercial trucking routes from ports till project sites. Thereafter the technical logistics engineer will be contributing to technical due diligence and supplier qualification of heavy haulage trucking suppliers, port handling operators and stevedoring suppliers and will be involved in new generations of Turbines and technical logistic needs. This to secure the best and most suitable supplier fit within safety, quality, delivery, and cost Lastly the technical logistics engineer will be involved in technical support to logistics project execution. As well as be assigned to more projects in parallel, and in this role, there will be a widespread cross-organizational interaction with sales, project management, construction, installation, and procurement departments. The role also entails a high degree of interaction with logistics suppliers and relevant authorities in operating countries within roads and ports. You should expect min. 30% travel a year for this position, mainly within Europe. What you need to make a difference Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for… You have a background and education within Logistics. Most important is your experience and documented results within route and port surveys and technical due diligence. You will long term work experience from a related field or position. You have a deep technical knowledge about transportation of heavy goods from the Wind industry. As a person you possess the skills to analyze, plan and execute. You are the type of person that makes the whole value chain prevail within quantity and quality. In addition to that you own the ability and skillset to interact with internal as well as external stakeholders. You live by the rule of making a better result than planned, and you are not afraid of showing edge and stand firm in a multicomplex operating environment. A high level of English both written and oral is needed since it is the corporate language for Siemens Gamesa.
