Estimated Appointment End Date (Continuous if Blank) Full/Part-Time Full time Job Type Regular Compensation $15/hour full-time Job Description Sequoyah Lodge is located in Sequoyah State Park with 150 lodging accommodations: 104 Lodge Rooms & Suites, 44 Duplex & Quadplex Cottage Units, a Lakehouse Cottage that sleeps 14, and a Bunkhouse that sleeps 38. Basic Purpose This is a full-time position where employees are assigned routine work involving sweeping, mopping, dusting, disposing of trash, and other simple cleaning duties. Training will be provided in completing more advanced tasks, such as the disposal of restricted or environmentally hazardous materials. Typical Functions • Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, washes, vacuums, waxes, and polishes building floors, walls, woodwork, windows, furniture, equipment, and hardware • Cleans and sanitizes lavatories, washrooms, and bedrooms, and keeps washrooms supplied with paper, towels, and soap • Collects and disposes of trash and garbage; moves equipment and furniture such as beds, tables, and chairs • Performs sanitary inspections in designated areas for purposes of infection control • Replaces and removes medically contaminated sharps and/or medically soiled and contaminated dressings and supplies • Observes and reports safety violations actively participate in emergencies • Maintains necessary records; prepares required reports • Other duties assigned Level Descriptor This is the entry level of this job family where employees are assigned routine work involving sweeping, mopping, dusting, disposing of trash, and other simple cleaning duties. Must be at least 18 years or older. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required at this level include ability to follow oral and written instructions. Special Requirements To operate state-owned vehicles in the performance of regularly assigned duties; a successful applicant must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license at the time of appointment. • All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit a background check.
