We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Drywall Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices, particularly in drywall installation, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills. The primary responsibility of the Drywall Estimator will be to accurately assess project requirements, evaluate materials and labor costs, and provide comprehensive estimates to support the bidding process.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze architectural plans, specifications, and other project documents to understand the scope of work and requirements for drywall installation.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
• Quantify materials needed for drywall installation, including gypsum board, joint compound, fasteners, and insulation, based on project specifications and measurements.
• Calculate labor costs by estimating the amount of time and manpower required to complete the drywall installation.
• Research and evaluate prices for materials and subcontractor services to ensure competitive and accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed and itemized estimates, including material quantities, labor costs, overhead, and profit margins, using estimation software or spreadsheets.
• Present estimates to clients and participate in bid meetings to discuss project requirements, timelines, and costs.
• Review and revise estimates as necessary based on changes in project scope, specifications, or market conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation for reference and historical analysis.
• Coordinate with purchasing departments to procure materials and subcontractor services according to project requirements and budgetary constraints.
• Provide support to project teams during the pre-construction phase, including value engineering and alternative material suggestions to optimize project costs.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

- Strong knowledge of construction estimating and management principles
- Proficiency in budgeting and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents
- Experience using construction management software such as HeavyBid or similar programs
- Excellent supervisory and leadership abilities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Problem-solving skills to address issues that may arise during construction projects

• Must have basic Knowledge of all construction trades
• Must be able to correspond to emails and messages pertaining to the jobsite
