The ideal candidate would have the following ESSENTIAL skills:Performs all tasks required to ensure cleaning standards are met including disassembly, assembly and cleaning of the ExtruderOperates, trouble shoots and performs routine maintenance on ExtrudersPrepares and loads raw material for use in extruders according to standard operating procedures.Monitors Extruder operation and makes adjustments to ensure product qualityCommunicates with other crews and departments to ensure efficient operation of the production process and product quality.Assists other employees, as needed, to ensure efficient operation of the production process. Trains employees in operation of Extruder and other production processes, as neededResponsible for attending and participating in assigned training sessions related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP and SQF; applying and demonstrating obtained knowledge and following all procedures and policies related to food safety.Responsible for keeping work area safe and clean.Adheres to all safety guidelines for job performedPerforms related duties as assigned by supervisionResponsible for meeting all quality, sanitation and production standardsPHYSICAL DEMANDSOccasionally required to lift and pull up to 50 poundsOccasionally required to carry items up to 50 poundsRequired to work while standing for periods up to 2 hoursRegularly required to bend, reach, pull, stoop, kneel, climb and reachPerform medium to heavy duty work tasks QUALIFICATIONSAbility to operate extruder and other food processing equipment.Ability to use various hand tools- powered and non-powered to perform routine maintenance.Ability to use Excel, Word and Outlook proficientlyAbility to communicate, write legibly, and speak in EnglishAbility to perform each essential function satisfactory.PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENTSafety eyewear and hearing protection is requiredProtective clothing, hair net and gloves are required. Respirator and other PPE may be required based on tasks being performed.
