Job Description Job Description talech, U.S. Bank's newly acquired point-of-sale company, is seeking a Technical Program Manager with demonstrated experience applying program/project management skills in an agile environment to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. The Technical Program Manager is a servant leader who overseas various large transformational initiatives and helps drive collaboration across various delivery/scrum teams in the bank and its partners to produce a holistic roadmap, release plan health and progress status, and dependency and risk mitigation to senior leadership. talech provides software that helps businesses manage multiple operational tasks – like order management, inventory and staff reporting, customer management, business insights and payments processing – in a single, integrated point-of-sale system. The company serves more than 8,000 restaurants, retailers and professional services companies representing $2.3 billion in processing volume. Job Responsibilities To Include But Not Limited To Leads larger, more complex program(s) in support of talech’s product and overall strategy. Identifies and manages dependencies, defines mitigations, manages risks and leads progress review sessions with the project team and project stakeholders. Partners with Scrum Teams to set milestones and identify timetables for intermediate deliverables. Provides oversight and leadership during program execution to ensure releases are on target, align with milestones, and dependencies with other teams are coordinated successfully. Visualizes and makes transparent program progress to stakeholders and senior management. Constructs a program reporting and tracking framework and benchmarks. Works directly with the Product Managers, Scrum Masters and Business Line to understand business objectives and strategies related to program priorities. Manages communications that create clear, concise requirements in program functionality, resourcing, and timing. Organizes and manages a high-quality, cross-functional team by coaching/mentoring. Escalates issues and risks to appropriate level, using appropriate and sometimes multiple method of communication, depending on level of the organization required. Leads selection and adoption of specific tools to facilitate compliance with established methodologies. Facilitates technical discussions with teams and helps align the team members with decisions made. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience At least 5 years of experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects.
