Summary The Co-Op student will provide technical support to senior level electrical engineers in design, test, documentation, and implementation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Provide administrative and technical support to department as required • Support lead designers and engineers as necessary • Review/Check drawings and update final documentation • Gather aircraft data and develop cockpit configuration CAD layouts • Generate PowerPoint presentation slides for design reviews • Research/validate parts and develop parts lists • Generate Engineering Change Notices to release/change drawings and parts lists • Work with manufacturing personnel to resolve electrical issues and electrical drawing issues • Work with production control personnel to resolve administrative issues and drawing issues • Work with logistics personnel to develop, release, and maintain spares lists • Assist the department by developing status reporting tools using MS Excel Qualifications and Education Requirements • Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree (or higher level) college/university program in the senior year of electrical engineering • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 • Must have a basic understanding of CAD systems • Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Must have good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills • Must understand how to operate digital voltmeter and basic understanding of oscilloscope operation • Must be detail oriented • Must be customer service oriented • Must be willing to learn new procedures and applications • Must have excellent communication skills • Must be able to work with minimal supervision Preferred Skills • A sound understanding of basic electrical circuitry • Teamwork • Time Management • Good Interpersonal Skills Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources. Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May be required to sit down for long lengths of time. May be required to climb stairs. Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator Must be able to support rack mounted equipment (up to 7 feet off the ground). Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
