Summary The Site Manager will function as the site leader (Ballston Spa, NY) until the completion of the current program. The incumbent for this position may be required to relocate to the Arlington, TX location in support of the follow-on program. This position is responsible for the overall production execution of the program at the site and quality performance by executing the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Responsible for the overall performance of the site execution. Train, develop and evaluate site staff. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations. Consult with Human Resources Department as appropriate. Act as liaison with Program Offices, Operations, Material Planning, Engineering, Quality, Property Administration, Subcontracted Vendor Companies, and other areas as needed Act as a customer liaison to oversite onsite safety, coordinate the execution of onsite work, provide regular briefings and reports, manage security requirements, as well as other required tasks. Develops control systems/metrics and reports that accurately measure progress, identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken, and ensures the meeting of company's commitments. Implement, manage and adherence to Program and Production policies and processes Direct and coordinate various programs essential to Production procedures (e.g. training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, security, etc.) Develop, implement, and execute policies, plans and administration to ensure all required controls for on-site work are adhered to and no delay of work occurs Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program experience required. Candidates must have 6 years of directly related experience (military or civilian) in the defense industry. Program Management experience highly desirable. Knowledge of the principles of the manufacturing/production field as typically evidenced by a Bachelors degree in an appropriate field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience highly desirable. Experience with managing personnel/resources Must be a dynamic and energetic leader that involves other team members in the decision making and change process Experience in working in an ISO 9001 / AS 9100 quality system work environment is required, with experience in managing in a DoD environment is highly desirable. The position requires coordinating and working with cross-functional teams Strong communication skills to advise team members and senior management on status and/or actions Microsoft Office Suite skills, including PowerPoint Ability to make formal presentations to senior decision makers High-energy and self-driven individual that can “make things happen” without a large support organization to depend on daily and knows how to manage his/her time wisely A personality style that is team oriented and has the success of the customer, program, organization and business as his/her main objective Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources. Incumbent must hold an active US DoD Secret Clearance, having DOE reciprocity is also preferred. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Work Environment Ability to travel 10-15% CONUS/OCONUS, up to a week on average. Work will be performed in both an office and manufacturing environment with noise irritants Work will require activities to be performed in a manufacturing, simulator, lab, or high-bay environment Risk of electrical shock 1/3 to none of the time Work near moving mechanical parts 1/3 to none of the time Risk of fumes and airborne particles 1/3 to none of the time Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to climb stairs/ladder Ability to operate personal computer, communicate via telephone. Ability to work many hours under pressure. Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed Must have color vision Ability to lift 30 pounds. Salary Range: $142,700.00 to $157,700.00 The actual compensation rate is subject to the evaluation of the following factors (but not limited to): the candidate's work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.
