OUR TEAM: This position will report into the US Medical Immunology team which is a segment of the Medical Affairs Specialty Care organization. Our Medical Affairs function serves as a valued strategic partner with Clinical, Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access on therapeutic solutions to support patients’ needs. JOB DESCRIPTION: This position reports to the Head of US Medical Immunology. Main job responsibilities: Provide inspirational leadership to the US Medical Affairs Respiratory team by cultivating a culture of teamwork and collaboration to ensure the delivery of key priorities, while attracting, developing and retaining top talent. Challenge the status quo and create disruptive initiatives through the development and execution of a robust integrated Medical Plan. Manage resourcing and budget for all respiratory products. Ensure alignment with our cross-functional, Global and Alliance partners on all Medical initiatives. Provide impactful medical expertise to Clinical, Commercial, Market Access and Regulatory partners. Identify data gaps and manage local data generation activities. Support the Clinical Study Unit in the execution of prioritized clinical trials. Provide medical review and approval of promotional and medical materials in compliance with corporate standards and government/industry regulations. Develop and maintain close professional relationships with Key Thought Leaders and Healthcare Practitioners within the medical and scientific community. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: MD (preferred) or PhD in the Respiratory therapeutic area required. Work Experience: Significant experience in Respiratory Medical Affairs Launch and Life Cycle Management activities preferred. Strong track record in developing and executing medical strategies in the US. Strong people management and development experience. Skills / knowledge: An entrepreneurial spirit with an executive presence. Scientific acumen. In-depth understanding of the scientific method and ability to apply this information for business needs based on medical and scientific rationale. People Leadership. Ability to engage and leverage team members’ strengths. Set high standards and expectations, communicate proactively, collaborate and provide meaningful feedback, coaching and support.
