General Purpose of Position:

Primary goal of the Project Technician is to assist the Project Manager in installation, termination, and testing of a specific project install prior to the commissioning of the system.

Summary of Responsibilities/Duties:

Execute job duties delegated to you by the Project Manager.

Ensure accuracy and time efficiency of pulling cable, terminating panels and dressing racks to 5WM standards.

Develop termination skills including, but not limited to, soldering, crimping and punch down blocks for all low voltage cable installations.

Become familiar with audio, video & lighting control systems and the ability to perform low-level patching and programming of said systems.

Make sure that work sites are cleaned and cleared of any hazardous materials prior to the start of the construction project and throughout the installation period.

Ensure that all machinery and tools are available to the crew and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.

Assist in receiving, transport, and organizing of all on-site materials, supplies, tools and procured equipment.

All other duties to be assigned.

General Education:

Minimum training/education requirements of this job are recommended to be a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.

Type of Experience/ Soft Skills Needed:

Some previous technical or in field experience is recommended but not required. Must be willing to learn new skills, follow instruction, and apply and maintain consistent attention to detail. Always uphold professionalism and courteousness in the presence of crew and customers on site.

This position has no Supervisory Responsibilities. CTS designation not required but is a plus, and may open doors to a higher starting pay and job title.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
