5.11 Tactical is Hiring a Supply Planner Near Costa Mesa, CA

This role reports to the Supply Planning Manager and supports the company’s supply chain, via the planning, purchase, management, and deployment of Global Inventory to meet expected service levels, while maintaining targeted Finished Goods Inventory levels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement new processes and projects to optimize inventory flow and reduce global inventory investment while maintaining service levels.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide inventory plans that meet expected service levels.
  • Develop new analytical tools and reports to enable efficient decision-making and standardization.
  • Drive business process improvements leveraging tools and technology.
  • Analyze and provide inventory purchase recommendations based on sales trends, consumption rates, safety stock, receipts, case pack quantities, lead times and production MOQs.
  • Collaborate with sales channel leaders to align supply flow with changes in sales trends and support un-forecasted opportunities.
  • Make recommendations for allocation of constrained goods and substitutions against shortages to optimize fill rate within lead-time.
  • Identify and minimize excess, obsolete, and slow moving SKU’s.
  • Analyze PO status to identify risks for early or late exit factory dates and re-establish optimal flow to support revenue and inventory targets.
  • Identify opportunities for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs and work with cross functional partners to implement.
  • Create, define, and execute ad hoc analysis within tight deadlines.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned based on needs of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following credentials:

  • Relevant education or related field experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Planner in Supply Chain or similar position.
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving functions, inventory control, and production planning.
  • Experience working in a global, multi-DC, SKU intensive (1,000 ) environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools including MS Office Suite, particularly Excel (including functions such as VLOOKUP, DATA TABLE, INDEX, SUMIFS, ROUND, complex IF statements, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Experience with PowerBI, Logility, and Microsoft Dynamics a plus. Experience with other reporting tools and supply chain technology such as, SAS, JDA or other advanced planning / allocations system.
  • APICS Certification a plus.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000 plus bonus based on experience
