Position SummaryThe Business Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing prospective SAF investments and offtake deals, monitoring existing investments, and assisting with the operations of the fund. This includes conducting due diligence, building financial models, maintaining capitalization tables, and providing refined deliverables to various internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, this role will provide the executive team with recommendations on investments, conduct industry research, and prepare presentations. This role reports directly to the executive team and will engage with prospective investors and existing portfolio companies. This is a high-visibility role that permits expanded responsibilities and creating valuable career growth opportunities.
Location:
Remote, TX based preferred.
Essential Functions
- Create various types of financial models and valuation methods to analyze prospective portfolio investments.
- Scrutinize capital raising activities to identify potential investors and determine most advantageous terms for 4AIR Ventures.
- Prepare and review materials used in capital raising activities, management presentations, and prospective portfolio companies.
- Build relationships with investors and portfolio companies where you are seen as a critical resource and asset to external parties.
- Prepare fuel offtake models, forecasting the impact of various regulatory and policy on future SAF costs.
- Perform due diligence, industry research, and analysis on portfolio companies and become an expert on the SAF industry.
- Expertise within aviation or the renewable fuels industry and understanding of sustainable fuels.
- Self-motivation and ability to meet deadlines, must be comfortable prioritizing tasks, demonstrate flexibility, display a strong work ethic, fanatical attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
- Strong research, quantitative, and analytical skills and presenting conclusions effectively.
- Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to create connections with executives internally and externally.
- Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential internal and external information.
- Aptitude for supporting long-term growth strategies through investments and sales.
- Presentation skills to create reports and presentations for senior management and investors.
- Collaborative partnership with portfolio company management for growth initiatives
- Professional demeanor, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with team and external stakeholders.
- Energetic team player with a passion for continuous learning.
- 2-3 years of related work experience, preferably in public accounting, investment management, or transactions.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Financial modeling skills to evaluate investment opportunities and support decision-making.
- Analytical aptitude for conducting due diligence and assessing industry trends.
- Willingness to travel as required.
