Position: Food & Beverage Supervisor 

Department: Food & Beverage

Supervisor(s): Food & Beverage Director

Employees Supervised: Cooks, Kitchen Preparers, Cashiers, and Lodge Attendants 

Salary: Seasonal (Usually mid November through early April), Hourly Wage DOE.

Responsibilities: 

Manage daily operations of all 49° North Food & Beverage services. Manage Food & Beverage employees; provide leadership, direction and assistance while helping them maintain a fast and friendly work environment. Communicate with the F&B Director and other Supervisors about day-to-day department/staff performance and needs.

Job Function: 

• Work with the department head and management to provide great customer service and excellent products, while maintaining profit and productivity
• Be informed about 49° North and all food and beverage services.
• Arrive on time and ready to work.
• Oversee daily Food & Beverage operating procedures. Supervise food preparation and service, but also be able to work any related position if needed. 
• Manage the Food & Beverage staff. Uphold adherence to company policies & procedures. Positive attitude. Leadership. 
• Manage the number of employees on shift based on customer traffic.
• Keep the kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Communicate with the F&B Director and other F&B Supervisors regarding Food & Beverage supplies/inventory.
• Work closely with other departments and supervisors to better serve our guests.
• Provide and promote great customer service
• Keep an accurate cash count.
• Work with the F&B Director to help plan and prepare special events.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Minimum requirements: 

* Possess good customer service, cash handling, computer, and communication skills.

* Ability to relate in a positive manner to guests, co-workers, and supervisors.

* Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

* Ability to be prompt and on time.

* Desire to promote 49° North and the snowsports industry.

* Ability to develop a thorough understanding of ski area policies and procedures.

* Food and MAST permits

Environmental Factors: 

* Frequent lifting of items weighing 50 lbs. or more.

* Standing or sitting for extended periods of time.

* Working around heat and hot surfaces.

* Working around sharp items.

* Working around scalding liquids.
