Sandvik in Mebane, NC is looking for a Central Support Specialist Location: Mebane, NC (hybrid) Description: Primary Function of Position: Central Support is part of the Shared Services division of Sandvik’s US HR Solutions team. We support internal customers consisting of HR professionals and managers at Sandvik locations across the US. We support our partners with hiring processes, record management, general consultation, and other services to ensure our partners have the tools to achieve their goals. Our focus is building strong relationships through excellent communication and customer service. This role will utilize your ability to think creatively, communicate effectively, and maintain attention to detail as you work across multiple platforms. You will communicate digitally on Microsoft Teams and Outlook, and work collaboratively on cloud-based software and other online platforms with the Payroll and Benefits divisions of HR Solutions, as well as our larger Sandvik HR community across the US. This is a hybrid role, and you will be expected to work from our Mebane, NC location three days per week. Responsibilities: Support Sandvik’s centralized hiring process within the US by sending offer letters, initiating screenings, and monitoring the hiring process through completion. Maintain records, troubleshoot, and support updates within our employee system of record, Workday. Develop and maintain strong, personalized relationships with our HR Partners to support the HR goals of multiple US brands and Sandvik locations through collaboration, consultation, and responsive customer service. Provide training, support, and vendor management as needed for technologies utilized within HR Solutions. Identify gaps, research, and oversee implementation of HR process improvements and new technologies within the HR Solutions team. Assist with the coordination of our internal training program by preparing shipments, gathering materials, and performing other duties as requested by the training coordinator. Provide customers with clear and responsive communications, timely information updates, and remain flexible to changes. Interact with all available internal and external resources to obtain needed information to manage work to completion. Actively participate in a variety of HR projects and initiatives to improve the existing overall HR Shared Services function. Assist with administering other special projects and responsibilities as needed. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field OR 3 years’ experience in Human Resources. Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, cloud systems, and general technology. Experience with Workday preferred. Curiosity and strong collaboration and communication skills. The ability to master situations or information easily and quickly. Loves to partner with others and seeks input to make the most informed decisions. Ability to manage multiple tasks requiring rigorous and meticulous attention to detail. Acts proactively to achieve results and always strives to deliver more than is expected before being asked. Excellent organizational skills and initiative to improve processes.
