Job Title Account Executive, Small Retail Placement Job Description GENERAL SUMMARY: Our Small Retail Placement Sales team is seeking a motivated professional for the role of Account Executive. In this role, the candidate will be expected to proactively prospect, develop leads and identify sales opportunities within retail markets channels. Prospective candidates must be able to articulate the PAI value proposition for key solutions, effectively develop and manage a pipeline, and work with internal resources to develop high quality proposals and solution recommendations. The candidate must exhibit excellent presentation and communication skills and have experience identifying and closing opportunities with large, high profile chain retail accounts. You will operate in a fast paced, dynamic, and challenging environment and you must be passionate, accepting of a changing environment and constantly looking to influence the future outlook of the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS: Prospect and generate new leads for PAI retail services Utilize a consultative sales approach to prospect and win new business Assist with the creation and management of proposals and RFP’s for regional retail account opportunities Accountable for achieving revenue goals Develop and foster strong relationships with internal and external customers Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty Develop business plans and strategies, identify key decision makers, achieve key performance indicators, and live within budget constraints Maintain accurate, comprehensive and updated sales forecasts, opportunities and activities in Salesforce Perform related duties as business needs present themselves, within your scope of practice KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The competencies required for success in the Account Executive, Small Retail Placement role include: Negotiating: Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups; can settle differences with minimum noise; can win concessions without damaging relationships; can be both direct and forceful as well as diplomatic; gains trust quickly of other parties to the negotiations; has a good sense of timing Drive for Results: Can be counted on to exceed goals successfully; is constantly and consistently one of the top performers; very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results Presentation Skills: Is effective in a variety of formal presentation settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and executives; is effective both inside and outside the organization, on both cool data and hot and controversial topics; commands attention and can manage group process during the presentation; can change tactics midstream when something is not working Written Communications: Is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect Perseverance: Pursues everything with energy, drive, and a need to finish; seldom gives up before finishing, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks Dealing with Ambiguity: Can cope with change effectively; can shift gears comfortably; can decide and act without having the total picture; is not upset when things are up in the air; does not have to finish things before moving on; can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty Business Acumen: Knows how businesses work; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting his/her business and organization; knows the competition; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree preferred At least five years proven sales experience Ability and willingness to travel between 25% - 35% annually Expertise with needs satisfaction selling ATM Sales and/or B2B Services Sales is preferred COMPUTER / APPLICATIONS SKILLS: Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience working in Salesforce.com or other CRM experience is a plus Knowledge of PAI Reports is a plus WORKING CONDITIONS: This work is performed in a business office setting. Must be able to see, hear, speak and listen. Constant moving (up/down/around the office area) to address questions and provide coaching. Continuous looking at a computer screen. On the phone up to 90% of the day. Daily contact with management and with co-workers. Work can be stressful and requires a calm, patient demeanor. Lifting of 10 pounds or less, which can be accommodated. SUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT DUTIES: The employee is not responsible for supervising other positions. A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated. Successful performance on pre-employment tests may be required. Position requires successfully passing a drug test prior to hire and upon any accident / incident or discharge of firearm while on duty.
