The planning is to be accomplished by incorporating inputs from historical usage, planned MRO demand, PBH forecasts, specific customer provided forecasting data, fleet data, and planned new aircraft entry into service to deliver and update a holistic view of all needs while always seeking ways to improve the forecasts or data available. Primary Responsibilities: Build Forecast of New Spare Parts Needed to Support Demand: 55% Maintain historical based 5-year forecast for commercial and governmental new spare parts. Develop forward looking 5-year forecast of new spare parts needed for MRO activities based upon shop projections and capacities. Align with Airbus to implement and influence forecasting and planning parameters such as demand stratification, demand satisfaction targets, safety level calculations and so forth. Leverage data, forecasts, and other information provided by customers or third parties to optimize the accuracy of the new spare parts forecast. Interface with CSM / Front Office for customer engagement and understanding customer operations and forecasted needs. Interface with CLS / Governmental Front Office to ensure necessary forecast inputs are secured to maximize forecast accuracy. Find ways to incorporate fleet data captured by connected services into the new spare parts forecast. Rotable Pool/HCARE Planning: 20% Plan for needed Rotable Pool to support standard exchange and HCARE customers. Propose dedicated Rotable Pool required to support active and planned HCARE contracts Consider MRO turn times and capacity to identify potential supply gaps, formulate and action plans to mitigate the gaps. Leverage data, forecasts, and other information provided by customers or third parties to optimize the accuracy of the Rotable Pool forecast. Interface with CSM / Front Office for customer engagement and understanding customer operations and forecasted needs. Interface with CLS / Governmental Front Office to ensure necessary forecast inputs are secured to maximize forecast accuracy. Find ways to incorporate fleet data captured by connected services into the Rotable Pool forecast. Regional Forecasting and Planning Interface: 10% Act as the liaison between AHI and AHCA to ensure forecasting plan planning methodologies are aligned. Propose and operate regional inventory strategy to optimize working capital while ensuring customer satisfaction. Monitor forecasting and planning activity in the region to ensure project timelines and other deadlines are met. Procurement and Finance Interface, Operational Controls, and Reporting: 10% Provide forecasted needs to procurement at a 5-year horizon. Coordinate closely with procurement to identify supply risks and formulate mitigation plans. Work with Finance to set operational targets for inventory value. Monitor and report KPIs related to working capital, fill rate, inventory turns, stock collection adequacy and forecast accuracy. Identity and propose opportunities for surplus parts sale scrapping events. Manage corrective action required to meet operational targets. Develop and manage annual operating budgets. Prepare for New Aircraft Entry into Service: 5% Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned: Qualified Experience and Training: Education: Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Preferred Specific training, experience, focus of study, or other certifications related to the duties detailed in this position description. Experience: Required A minimum of 10 years’ experience within an operational, production, procurement, forecasting, material planning, warehousing or material distribution environment. Minimum of 5 years of that experience within a supervisory and/or management role. Preferred Emphasis on years of experience in operations directly related to the duties detailed in this position description. Licensure/Certifications: Required None Preferred APICS or similar. Other certification directly related to duties detailed in this position description. Positive support of the team which reports to this position This position contributes directly to the operational health of the company by: Close coordination with internal and external customers to understand needs and ensure on-time delivery of needed materials. Close coordination with internal repair shops to ensure material needs are known and met to minimize production delays. Close coordination with the procurement organization to help ensure the planned demand can be satisfied on-time. Playing an active role to mitigate issues and roadblocks as they arise.
