Periodontal office in Back Bay is looking to add an outgoing individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care to our team. We are looking for a fun, hardworking, team player to help us grow the practice and continue to serve the Boston area and surrounding communities with all their periodontal needs. If you are a hygienist with a passion for patient care, and treating and educating patients with their periodontal needs we would love to hear from you! This will be an hourly, non-production based paying position and we are willing to discuss PT opportunities.

The primary role of the Hygienist is to support the success of the periodontist to provide exceptional patient care resulting in the best clinical outcomes and meets the needs of our patients. Leveraging our state-of-the-art technology, including our 3Shape Trios and Airflow Prophylaxis. Hygienists provide direct care to their patients by helping them to maintain oral health.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain patient records and surgical narratives as necessary, maintaining confidentiality of all information in compliance with HIPAA.
• Prepare, administer, and record medications/anesthetic according to all applicable regulations.
• Assemble materials and equipment in preparation for surgery and maintain adequate supplies.
• Clean and maintain clinical equipment and dispose of used supplies correctly.
• Perform patient intake (including taking diagnostic x-rays and completing periodontal charting).
• Complete periodontal procedures as diagnosed, and treatment planned by periodontist.
• Provide post operative care instructions as necessary both in person and over the phone.
• Other duties as directed.

Qualifications:

• RDH with current state licensure
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Leadership, problem-solving, and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
