Job Title: Finance Attorney, Senior Associate Job Description: Blackstone Credit & Insurance is seeking an experienced finance attorney to join a team of lawyers within the Chief Investment Office responsible for handling credit documentation and negotiation across the credit platform. The attorney will work alongside portfolio managers and deal team members to structure, analyze and negotiate a broad range of credit documents, including term sheets, commitment letters, credit agreements, preferred stock instruments and other bespoke transaction documents. The attorney will handle credit documentation for new loan originations and will liaise with internal and external counsel, as well as internal middle office and operations teams, as needed, to shepherd the deal from the term sheet stage to closing. The attorney will also evaluate legal risks associated with existing investments and workout transactions, including potential liability management exercises, and present their analyses to investment committees. Although the attorney will focus on direct lending transactions, the attorney will also coordinate with other deal teams across the Blackstone Credit & Insurance platform with respect to energy, distressed and liquid credit investment opportunities. Qualifications: Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
