ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle shipping and receiving, unload trucks, check in merchandise, match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute to sales associates for processing.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped. Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department. Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers. Check the materials for identifying information, compare to the packing slip. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
• Maintain and account for physical inventory of incoming and outgoing products and materials. Conduct month-end physical inventory counts.
• Pick up/deliver orders to and from customers or vendors.
• Prepare shipping documents, shipping tags, bills of lading and shipper’s declarations. Schedule all outgoing shipments. Prepare parcels for mailing. Prepare shipments & get the necessary paperwork ready. Ship via UPS, FedEx, courier & truck
• Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.

• Coordinate purchase orders with the controller for all outside services. Track product in and out of warehouse for various secondary/outside services.
• Inventory control

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma, or GED equivalent preferred, 3 years experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment preferred, or a combination or education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving records required
• Plastic injection molding experience is highly desirable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee:

• Is required to stand and is frequently required to walk.
• Must use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hand and arms; climb or balance, push and pull; stoop or kneel; talk and hear.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must meet specific vision ability including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
