General Accountant

Purpose

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the General Accountant is responsible for a wide variety of accounting duties. This position requires professional interaction with many, if not all, departments within 3A Composites USA, Inc. as well as with some outside entities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, and potentially has experience with SAP.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Transact General Ledger activities and work with Accounting Manager to close monthly GL closing tasks.
• General Ledger monthly account reconciliations and clearing of reconciling items.
• Help prepare journal entries – recurring entries, accruals, etc.
• Reconciling A/P proposals, including the Daily Esker and SAP Recon.
• Internal controls – Annual update and testing of internal control documents. Asset Protection.
• Manage Concur travel expense report process
• Completion of manual billing and credits
• Banking set ups and reconciliation of bank statements
• Participate in year-end audit
• Cash Discount Reporting and work to develop other reports as needed
• Special Projects as assigned by Accounting Manager throughout the year
• Assist with management of Accounts Receivable, including credit holds, releases and customer billing as needed

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP. IFRS also preferred
• Strong internal control background
• Detail oriented and strong work ethic
• Project management skills
• Ability to form good working relationships and interact with multiple departments
• Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills, especially in SAP, Word and Excel
• Effective time management and organization skills
• High integrity level and confidentiality knowledge. Strict adherence to Code of Conduct.
