Job Scope:

The ideal Candidate will Develop scheduling methodology that delivers a stable and achievable schedule, while still delivering agility when / where needed to support customer requirements; Creates, maintains and verifies the Production Schedule and interfaces with management to resolve material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule deficits and / or interruptions; Creates and maintains valid Capacity Requirements plan, supporting the Production Schedule; Evaluates scheduling priorities needed to support fluctuating demands in sales for the product set that they oversee; including collaboration cross functionally as required; Works with Buyer, Operations, Engineering and Management to provide solutions to problems in meeting the Production Plan in order to ensure that the Production Schedule is achieved; Ensures planning process and transactional execution that upholds inventory accuracy / integrity throughout the manufacturing process end to end; Participates in continuous improvement of Planning and Control systems.

In this role you will:

• Receive custom orders and convert to production orders.
• Convert planned orders to actual production orders generating lead time for orders and communication with Customer relations.
• Create Backlog Report and check schedule against it daily.
• Manage the Production Schedule to make sure material is produced in the most efficient way to minimize scrap and down time and to maximize product output.
• Prepare production schedules as required and monitor progression production lines making changes as required.
• Respond to customer service regarding production dates, packaging, etc. of custom material.
• Complete required transactions in SAP for any product as necessary in SAP system. These transactions include set-up of materials, inventory adjustments, and any other transaction that is essential to the function of planning and inventory.
• Clear COGI daily for Sintra material
• Assist with filing all inventory, shipping BOL, and receiving paperwork.
• Process SAP transactions to setup new materials as required.
• Schedule Times for Trials to be completed within the Production Schedule.
• Attend 8:30AM production meeting with customer service.
• Create compound work orders each month based off of logic and past usage.
• Have a complete understanding on how all Sintra lines operate and what materials run best on each line.
• Check daily inventory of stock product and create Production Orders based on need according to Min/Max quantities.
• Maintain min / max of all finished good and raw material.
• Manage raw materials on hand and have understanding on how ordering effects storage space, financials, and supplier allocations.
• Prepare raw material orders to meet required production schedules by running MRP controller for items needed a purchase requisition each day.
• Order pallets for custom and for stock material
• Maintains and initiates change to parameters in the Material Master that influence accurate and optimized MRP signals (i.e.: MRP Type, Lead times, SMKs, SPKs, MOQ, Lot size/settings, etc.).
• Perform F/G Cycle counts on a weekly basis, as needed.
• Prepare to take physical inventory counts and make transactions.
• Receive weekly inventory from Supervisors of Raw Materials kept on the production floor and reconcile to SAP utilizing the proper steps.
• Maintain relevant performance metrics; create and drive appropriate action plans to manage performance to them.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with production scheduling, inventory control, basic accounting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software – specifically strong Excel skills.
• Minimum 3 years SAP experience
• Perform other job duties as required
• Experience working with Union & manufacturing environment
