Job Details: Job Summary: Provides Security Management and Compliance expertise in support of Programs within the APAC region. This role will evaluate and help manage Security Incidents and Risk. They will ensure that Cubic APAC is security sompliant in alignment with Defence policy and the Australia Defence Security Program. They will engage with Government departments, suppliers and auditors relating to compliance/audit efforts. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction but will be expected to independently schedule their work to drive initiatives and desired outcomes. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Performs self-inspections and serves as the point person for the Australian Defence Industry Security Program (ADISP) Maintains positive working relationships with government security personnel and customers. Submits security-related reports in electronic and/or hard copy format as required. Works with HR and Management to ensure new staff are educated on security requirements and have the appropriate level of clearance. Provide advise and solutions on security related matters Works with the Program Managers in developing security education materials for corporate-wide distribution. Provides security education materials and resources to the Learning and Development team. Collaborates with Managers in completing System Security Plans (SSP) in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Coordinates with staff in executing foreign travel reporting policies and procedures. Conducts in-person security briefings as required. Conducts Administrative Inquiry (AI) investigations of security incidents and submits reports to DSS. Provides program support to the program level security managers. Submits facility clearance nominations to DSS Facility Clearance Branch. Stays current in the Industrial Security field by attending training seminars and networking meetings and reviewing online resources Other related tasks as required. General Duties and Responsibilities: Comply with Governments DISP processes and requirments Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures Other duties as requested Minimum Job Requirements: Qualifications Essential: Formal Defence Security Officer training Skills/Experience/Knowledge Essential: Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Security Management or related capacity Strong understanding of security concepts, including Defence Security Principles, DISP. Experience with security incident management Experience and understanding of the ADISP processes and requirments Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to create and modify processes and procedures Sound knowledge of The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Desirable: Experience performing internal audits Experience developing and delivering security training Understanding of security standards Personal Qualities Strong analytical ability and judgment Able to work effectively and uphold professional standards Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised Attentive to detail Able to rapidly acquire new knowledge and learn on the job Proactive in seeking advice from security subject matter experts when required Comfortable working with staff at all levels and in other geographical locations within the organisation Condition of Employment: Successful outcome of a National Police Check.
