Position: Residential Construction Estimator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Residential Construction Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by accurately estimating the costs and resources required for residential construction projects. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure projects are accurately priced, cost-effective, and meet our high standards of quality. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in residential construction estimating, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive and detailed cost summary for residential construction projects.
• Review project blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project managers to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Utilize construction estimating software and tools to streamline the estimating process.
• Prepare detailed take-offs and quantity surveys for accurate material calculations.
• Analyze historical data to develop accurate cost models and benchmarks.
• Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor bids to ensure competitive pricing.
• Present estimates and cost breakdowns to the project management team for review and approval.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project evaluations as needed.
• Maintain documentation of all estimating activities and update the database regularly.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, materials costs, and construction regulations to ensure up-to-date estimates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Residential Construction Estimator with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction materials, methods, and practices.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and technical documents.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
