Cloud Chamber is looking for a creative and collaborative Gameplay Concept Artist to help us design the Gameplay related conceptsof BioShock. You will create concepts such as weapons, weapons upgrade, player’s powers, storyboards and such toinspire your fellow artists, and tackle challenging assignments head on. Partnering with various teams within the studio you will be responsible for creating Gameplay related concepts that will give art solutions to the Gameplay Design Team. You are a talented artist with traditional drawing and painting skills who can work effortlessly within a digital world, an artist who loves to collaborate, and who relishes in sharing ideas and inspiration and flourishes within a collaborative atmosphere.

Job Details:

• Brainstorm ideas for gameplay related needs with Design and Art teams.
• Sketch explorative thumbnails in 2D and/or 3D.
• Draw fast and detailed line art for gameplay specific prototyping. This could include environmental items, weapon effects, creature and enemy movement and mobility options, etc.
• Provide paintovers for the art and design teams as required.
• Maintain the values of Cloud Chamber.
• Stay up to date with technology and industry trends to continually drive innovation.
• Foster a positive, proactive, and agile work environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Degree in Fine Art and/or Digital Art, or related work experience.
• 5 years of experience in games. 
• Previous experience creating 2D concept art for AAA games.
• Ability to cohesively collaborate within team environments.
• Ability to quickly iterate on ideas visually.
• Ability to take direction well and iterate on given feedback.
• Self-motivated toward solving creative problems.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under reasonable deadlines.
• Willing to take initiative to communicate, coordinate, and negotiate between different disciplines with kindness and respect. 
• Excellent organizational and written communication skills.
• Work ethic focused on dynamism and collaboration.

This is a fully remote role that may be based anywhere in the United States. Below are the expected salary and wage ranges for applicants based in locations where the pay transparency law is in effect:

Colorado: $70,000 and $130,000 per year
California: $90,000 and $140,000 per year
New York State (inclusive of New York City): $90,000 and $140,000 per year
Washington: $70,000 and $130,000 per year

Base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive 14 paid holidays per calendar year, are eligible to earn a minimum of 15 days of vacation leave per year (subject to proration based on start date during the calendar year) and will receive 10 sick days per calendar year. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, 4 including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
