- Conduct structural analysis and design for various projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop comprehensive structural designs.
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for structural components.
- Perform site inspections to assess existing structures, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Utilize structural engineering software and tools to model and analyze complex structures.
- Stay informed about advancements in structural engineering technologies and industry best practices.
- Review and approve shop drawings, construction materials, and structural systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring project goals are met.
- Conduct structural assessments and evaluations to determine the integrity and load-bearing capacity of existing structures.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree is a plus.
- Fundamentals of engineering exam required.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Project management experience is a plus.
