2H Talent LLC is Hiring a Construction Manager Near Conshohocken, PA

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Manager to support the construction and development of our large restaurant chain projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects from beginning to end, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and oversight of subcontractors and vendors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth and expansion of our restaurant chain.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Management: Manage all phases of construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.

2. Department Management: Lead and manage the construction department, including hiring, training, and supervising staff. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, and provide guidance and support as needed.

3. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with municipal officials, general contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and licenses. Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Procurement: Order equipment, materials, and supplies for construction projects. Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.

5. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop project budgets and cost estimates, and monitor project expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project costs.

6. Contract Management: Negotiate and execute contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders, and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

7. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, and coordinate activities to ensure timely completion of project milestones. Monitor progress against project timelines and adjust schedules as needed to mitigate delays.

8. Quality Assurance: Ensure that construction projects meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to identify and address any issues or deficiencies.

9. Owner Meetings: Participate in meetings with restaurant owners and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback. Communicate effectively with owners to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully managing restaurant construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, particularly in the restaurant industry.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Procore.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements.
