JOB SUMMARY
The Fitness Operations Specialist plays an instrumental role in ensuring operational excellence within our fitness business. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Fitness, this role will liaison with field teams to operationalize member satisfaction and team member development across our fitness offerings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
  • In partnership with the Sr. Director of Fitness and field fitness leaders, the Fitness Operations specialist develops, implements, and sustains fitness processes, tools and products that align with our brand promise.
  • Supports District Fitness Managers (DFM) and club teams to recruit, hire and onboard new Coaches.
  • Manages and validates the certification process for new Coaches.
  • Develops and delivers content to upskill team members in fitness services and offerings.
  • Conducts testing of new experiences within a specific set of clubs to assess effectiveness and scalability.
  • Assists in the rollout of new products and experiences at scale, ensuring seamless integration and execution.
  • Provides feedback to corporate teams based on insights gathered from club operations and member interactions to continuously improve the fitness experience.
  • Trains fitness and field team members in Group Fitness (GX,) fitness products and tools.
  • Supports field teams to deliver great Group Fitness offerings, supports in reviewing scheduling, and class offerings as needed.
  • Collaborate on the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of the Fitness standard operating procedures to create a consistent, effective Fitness experience across all clubs.
  • Team with key stakeholders to optimize existing process and protocol to increase the efficiency of day-to-day Fitness operations.
  • Partner with Fitness and Field Leadership, Learning and Development, and various Subject Matter Experts to identify, create, and deliver learning resources focused on growing the Fitness business.
  • Collaborate with the District Fitness Managers to identify, design, and deliver solutions for targeted intervention and Fitness performance improvement (e.g., improve resign, create coaching consulting session consistency)
  • Support efforts to test, learn, and refine new Fitness products in market.
  • Maintain communication with Fitness leadership, in particular District Fitness Managers, and corporate functional partners to ensure alignment across key touch points.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • 3-5 years of experience in the fitness industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor or exercise science related degree.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a Team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience training and onboarding fitness team members.
Physical Demands/ Environmental Conditions
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the environment is occasionally loud.
Travel Requirement
  • It is expected that this role will spend up to 75% in the field, which may require frequent travel by car and occasionally (less than 5%) by plane.
