Security Officer Supervisor
The 22nd Judicial Circuit-Juvenile Division seeks applicants for a Security Office Supervisor.
Candidates must be a licensed security officer by the Licensed Watchman Bureau of The St.
Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Must be able to obtain a permit for carrying a handgun
and be trained for same on an annual basis. Must provide his/her own handgun. Must possess
a high school diploma or equivalent. A four-year degree in a related field or an associate’s
degree combined with experience in the field is preferred. Paid supervisory experience of
security staff is required. Must be 21 years of age. Salary range is $52,286 – 81,689. Please

JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPARTMENT: Facilities (320)
CLASS TITLE: Security Officer Supervisor
SALARY RANGE: $52,286 – $81,689
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager
CLASS DEFINITION: Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager. Responsible for
supervising day-to-day security needs at the Juvenile Court, including internal and external
security, reception services, and assistance to the various Units of the Juvenile Division as well as
the Sheriff’s Department. Responsible for the supervision of the Security Unit.
JOB DUTIES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be a licensed
security officer by the Licensed Watchman Bureau of the St. Louis Metropolitan Police
Department. Must be able to obtain a permit for carrying a handgun and be trained for
same on an annual basis. Must provide his/her own handgun and uniforms. Must possess
a high school diploma or equivalent. A four-year degree in a related field or an associate’s
degree combined with experience in the field is preferred. Paid supervisory experience of
security staff is required. Must be twenty-one years of age.
