Job Description:

• Manages day-to-day operation of the institution recovery services program: develops & implements policies & procedures for the program; coordinates & participates in quality assurance activities; participates in personnel management tasks including recruitment, interviewing, training & recommendations for hire; supervises employees assigned to the recovery services program; directs & manages treatment activities of the recovery services staff; provides in-service training & evaluations; monitor & record program attendance; maintains necessary data documents required by Ohio MHAS & Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Corrections (ODRC).
• Provides alcohol & other drug treatment services to inmates in the program (e.g., treatment planning, treatment recommendation, progress notes, individual & group counseling).Serves as institution representative on statewide committees for alcohol & other drug related issues; must conduct themselves professionally, & in a law-abiding manner at all times & in accordance with the Ohio MHAS & ODRC Standards of Employee Conduct; attends meetings, conferences, workshops as directed; assists with public relations for programs; serves on institution committees; performs security functions; performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Public relations: assigned responsibility for establishing & sustaining beneficial business relationships or establishing & projecting acceptable public image.
• Agency policies & procedures; counseling; interviewing; social sciences (social welfare)
• Agency software (e.g., e Clinical Works, Microsoft Office); equipment operation (copier, fax) Ability to: recognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate action.
• Deal with problems involving several variables in familiar context; understand practical field of study; define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Deal with many variables and determine specific action; recognize safety warnings; prepare meaningful, concise and accurate reports; gather, collect and classify information about data, people or things.
• Handle sensitive inquiries from and contacts with officials and general public; develop good rapport with inmates and/or patients.

Must hold current certification or credentials in one of following:-

• Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency ,Counselor (LICDC)
• Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by ,State of Ohio Counselor & Social Worker Board- Licensed Physician by State of Ohio Medical Board
• Licensed Psychologist by State of Ohio Board of, Psychology- Registered Nurse by Ohio Board of Nursing- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by, State of Ohio Counselor Social Worker Board.
• Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT)
