22nd Century Technologies, Inc. is Hiring a Repair Operator/ General Operator 4 Near Lenexa, KS

Duration: 12 months with possibility of CTHShift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 1st shift: 5:00am – 3:30pm & 6:00am – 4:30pm (Mon- Thurs) and 2nd shift: 2:30pm – 11pm (Mon-Fri)Job Description:
  • Under limited supervision, performs electronic, electromechanical or mechanical production sub- assembly and assembly operations to build up and assemble units of moderate complexity by performing
    the following duties.
  • CANDIDATES WILL BE USING A TEST STAND TO TEST PRODUCT.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS ARE A MUST
  • NEED** 16 - 1st Shift (hours) and 5 - 2nd Shift (hours)
  • FOR 1ST SHIFT- *5:00am – 3:30pm and 6:00am – 4:30pm Monday-Thursday for 1st shift (start times depending on department/position that they figure out internally, they want every candidate for 1st shift to be open to working either 5am or 6am. )
  • FOR 2nd SHIFT- 2:30pm – 11pm Mon-Fri.
  • (ALL CONTRACTERS WILL START AT 6:15am for Day 1. IF 2nd shift, may be on 1st shift for a couple weeks to train before switching. Please make sure your candidates know this!)
  • Offering retention bonuses in the amount of $1000 every 90 days from candidates first day of work
Overtime:
  • Saturday overtime is mandatory when required.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Works from production/assembly instructions, parts lists, wire lists, diagrams, verbal instructions and notes to assemble, wire and install a wide variety of components
  • Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units
  • Utilizes small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers.
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
