Gate Gourmet combines culinary expertise with the highest standards of food safety and production to deliver delicious, healthy, and affordable meals to over 270 million travelers around the globe Our Drivers are responsible for driving our hi-lift catering trucks and perform the correct load/off-load procedures of meal carts onto and off planes according to flight schedules and health & safety requirements. Your responsibilities: Completes the gathering and fault free timely load / off-load of catering material, assuring complete load security, co-ordinating with all necessary departments, Transport Dispatcher (Dock controllers) and Duty Manager. Completion of pre-trip truck checks, ensuring cleanliness and assumes responsibility for the driving of high-loader catering vehicle. Loads and unloads onto and off aircraft in accordance with flight schedules, loading lists / labels and stowages into the correct galley positions and health and safety / customer requirements. Liaises with the Transport Dispatcher (Dock Controllers) in the case of injuries and accidents, absence of material or any other irregular operations. We are interested in speaking with individuals who possess: A current MR or HR valid driver’s licence. Previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded but not essential. Experience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. Good communication skills. Availability to work a 7-day roster across morning and afternoon shifts. The ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card, (ASIC) and Airside Driving Authority, (ADA) No criminal background. Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical at our cost.
