ROLE SUMMARY: The temporary employee for Early Generation Seed Research will work in the greenhouse and field to maintain barley cultivars, planting, harvesting, and cleaning seed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Greenhouse and Field work including maintaining barley cultivars, planting, harvesting and cleaning seed. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ensure all standard operating procedures (SOP’s), plant and safety policies are followed at all times. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Team player with good communication skills. Other routine tasks as necessary. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Required: High School diploma or GED Preferred: Experience in agriculture, horticulture, or greenhouse management Must be at least 18 years of age Must be willing and able to work any weekday and some weekends for duration of employment. Must be able to work in varying temperatures and climates.
