JOB TITLE: Grant Writer

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the CEO and President, as an independent contractor, is responsible for identifying grant funding opportunities and preparing proposals that are appropriate for advancing the missions and visions of 20/twenty’s clients.

A successful candidate will: have the ability to conduct research for a diverse client roster that may vary by nonprofit industry; have experience developing proposals for various grantor types, such as local and state governments, corporations, and family or private foundations; have the ability to manage multiple clients and proposals simultaneously, while adhering to all application requirements and deadlines; have the ability to analyze data and information from multiple sources and synthesize findings into a cohesive funding strategy that is communicated with clients and submitted through applications to grantors; have a desire and willingness to work collaboratively with clients and the 20/twenty fund development team to coordinate grants applications and proposal submissions; have love for the work (writing to maximize our clients’ successes and the impact of their missions in communities).

Note: Excellent research, interpersonal, oral, and written skills are required to succeed in this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· To determine how, when, and where tasks are done to create value for clients through grants.

· Communicate and/or meet with both clients and 20/twenty team members on a regular basis.

· Identify grant funding opportunities and program and/or project areas to match client priorities.

· Curate and coordinate the submission of grants applications and proposals on behalf of clients.

· Generate revenues for clients through the timely submission of well-researched, well-written, and well-documented grants applications, fundraising proposals, and program/project budgets.

· Track pending applications and proposals, and initiate follow-up with grantors, as necessary.

· Write grant reports and assist with the submission of reports, on an as needed basis, for clients.

· Acknowledge that actions and decisions will have a significant impact on clients’ opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field (master's degree preferred).

· Three (3) or more years of grant writing experience and the ability to share examples of work.

· A demonstrated track record of writing for grants that achieved effective fundraising results.

· The ability: to analyze and systematically compile information needed to prepare reports and correspondence; to comprehend and make inferences from written materials; to interpret, accurately, application guidelines and grantor requirements and communicate with clients effectively and in a timely manner; to possess an outstanding level of attention to detail and quality control; and, to interact and work well with diverse constituencies and populations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
