We succeed at delivering our extraordinary level of 5-star LASIK services by working as a closely integrated team. As a Patient Counselor you will receive extensive paid training from our key staff and doctors. As a key member of our team, you will interact with prospective and existing patients daily on the phone and in person. At 20/20 Institute we are responsible for caring for patients during the initial inquiry, during in-office evaluations as well as through the surgery experience and follow-up care. You will educate patients about LASIK and the unique ways in which 20/20 Institute offers a superior overall patient experience versus our competitors. We pride ourselves on a transparent and authentic experience. You will also assist 20/20 doctors in clinics. A knack for learning science and math subject matter will aid in quickly learning the knowledge required to succeed in this role. We will train the right person in the medical knowledge and duties needed in the role. LASIK is a self-pay patient service outside of medical insurance. So, one very special nicety of our medical setting is that operationally we do not accept insurance, bill insurance or file insurance claims.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties will be assigned as you learn the operations of our office

  • Welcomes patients into our state-of-the-art office settings
  • Establishes immediate rapport and trust with prospective patients
  • Develops relationships with patients ensuring outstanding personalized care
  • Assists patients in the decision-making process utilizing 20/20 Institute's transparent and authentic consultative methods in person, on the phone and through email
  • Accommodates scheduling needs of our patients
  • Conducts initial LASIK Phone Consultations with prospective patients. (Patients will have already signed up for these phone call appointments through an online scheduling tool on our website)
  • Educates about Laser Vision Correction and the 20/20 Institute approach during phone consultations
  • Participates as needed in outbound efforts to follow up with patients that have shown an interest in LASIK however that have not finalized their LASIK process
  • Assists with patients in-office
  • Assists doctors with pre and post procedure exams
  • Performs diagnostic evaluation testing
  • Manages patient follow up process
  • Reviews commitments in long term vision plan options, informed consents, and other administrative documents
  • Discusses payment options and processes deposits

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Computer skills including Intellichart EMR, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to work a flexible only 4-day/week schedule M-Sat
  • While half the work week takes place at our main DTC office, must be willing to work at least one day per week at our LoDo office and one day per week at our Westminster office
  • Medical knowledge preferred but not required; we will train the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Bonus: $45,000-$75,000 Annually
