**Resident Assistant**

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide direct care and assistance to residents in a compassionate and respectful manner

- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, medication reminders, activity reminders, and meal reminders.

- Monitor and document changes in residents' behavior, physical condition, and overall well-being

- Implement behavior management techniques to promote a safe and supportive environment

- Support residents with memory care needs, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease

- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents

- Foster social engagement and meaningful interactions among residents

- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans

**Skills:**

- Experience in caregiving or direct support roles preferred

- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and dementia care principles

- Proficient in assisting with ADLs and providing personal care to residents

- Familiarity with systems and procedures related to resident care documentation

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff members

- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, including knowledge of first aid procedures
