General Summary and Objective:

Under the supervision of the Residential Mortgage Manager, processes loan application requests according to secondary market and established Bank policies and procedures. Performs other duties that require a broad knowledge of mortgage products, characteristics, regulations and terminology. Familiarity to include but not limited to Private Mortgage Insurance, Real Estate Tax Escrow, Freddie Mac and Mortgage Brokers. Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of individuals on a professional level.

General Summary and Essential Functions:

• To provide an exceptional service experience, every time!
• Must have excellent communication and telephone skills.
• Process mortgage applications using mortgage origination software and documents provided in file from Loan Originator and Borrower, to include but not limited to: order credit reports, preforms Automated Underwriting and prepares verifications and regulatory disclosures as needed, orders appraisals and title work, if applicable. In addition, any other necessary steps to process the mortgage application and close the loan file.
• Works in conjunction with Lending Officer/Underwriter when borrower’s requests change to original request, clear difficult conditions, appraisal value not what expected, address issues, etc.
• Prepares written correspondence based on lending decision (commitment, counteroffer, rejection, etc.) regarding the disposition of the application. Notifies all related parties (Originator, Attorney, etc.) regarding the disposition of the application.
• Works with customer, Originator, branch personnel, Mortgage Broker, etc. to clear conditions on loan and set up closing date.
• Prepares closing related documents as needed, to include but not limited to final regulatory disclosures (Closing Disclosure/ Escrow Analysist and PMI), final application, general ledger tickets, offsets, internal payoff requests and checks.
• Finalizes mortgage file after closing and sends to Servicing Department
• Balances general ledger accounts pertaining to mortgage processing on a monthly basis.
• Prepares and circulates weekly/monthly reports. These include but not limited to closed mortgages, title insurance policies written, appraisal assignments, board reports.
• Must be familiar with regulatory compliance, loan origination system (LOS), secondary market and Private Mortgage Insurance guidelines, and Mortgage Products etc.
• Review and input HMDA data in LOS upon receipt of closing loan files.
• Communicates with the Residential Manager on anticipated mortgage volume.
• Provides assistance in other areas in the Residential Mortgage Department/Home Equity Department as needed.
• Professional Customer/Client Focus. Must have excellent communication and telephone skills.
• Full time position and overtime may be required outside of normal work hours. Travel may be required.
• This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
