Summary
The Janitorial Worker position requires individuals with a strong background in cleaning and janitorial experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in custodial work, floor care, and commercial cleaning. Additionally, knowledge in industrial cleaning, facilities maintenance, porter experience, maintenance, and buffing would be beneficial for this role. The Janitorial Worker will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the designated areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Janitorial Worker plays a crucial role in upholding the organization's standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Perform custodial duties such as cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Dust and wipe down surfaces
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Experience:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation (e.g., buffers, polishers)
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks (e.g., light bulb replacement, minor repairs)
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards

There are 3 different shifts to be filled. Will be on your feet all day long and steel toe boots/shoes are required.
