1st Choice Lock & Security is Hiring an Alarm Technician Near Janesville, WI

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Alarm Technician to join our team. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various alarm systems. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and a strong attention to detail.

Duties:
-Install, program, and test fire alarm systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

-Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of alarm systems to ensure proper functioning.

-Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions with alarm systems.

-Collaborate with clients to determine their specific needs and provide recommendations for alarm systems.

-Keep accurate records of all work performed.

-Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and codes. This may include offsite training.

-Ability to work directly with customers in a positive, professional manner while maintaining a presentable appearance.

Experience:

-Two years' prior experience in installation or service technician preferred, willing to train the right candidate.

-Proficient in using power tools and other equipment necessary.

-Familiarity with construction inspection processes and requirements.

-Mechanical knowledge to handle physical installation tasks.

Skills:

-Excellent problem-solving skills to detect and resolve issues with alarm systems.

-Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of alarm systems.

-Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members.

-Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

-Required to safely lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

-Required to lift 25 lbs. over your head.

-Required to stand; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms.

-Will frequently be required to walk, sit, and use hands to pull wires, use power tools, work in various positions, operate scissor lifts, and climb ladders.

-Positions require the necessary vision to work with small, color-coded wiring.

-Employees may be exposed to outside weather elements.

-Must be able to travel around the Southern Wisconsin & Northern Illinois area.

-Position may require an on-call rotation schedule with lead technician.

We offer competitive pay based on experience and skills. Pay and benefits negotiated at time of interview.
