The Dental Assistant will clinically assist the Dr with patient procedures utilizing qualifications as established by license. The Assistant will educate patients while maintaining documentation of patient care services. This role plays an important part in communicating effectively with patients as well as maintaining an organized clinical schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Check for appropriate x-ray & photos prior to seeing patient. Take as PAs, FMX, PAN, perio chart photos as needed.
- Ensures operation of dental equipment
- Completing chart notes in a timely manner.
- Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist, as well creating treatment plans for the treatment coordinator.
- Responsible for fully stocking operatories & cleaning daily.
- Sterilize instruments according to OSHA standards.
- Sterilization/Operatory maintenance, cleaning, & stocking
- Track supplies/submit orders as needed before supplies are out.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Dental experience of 2 years preferred, not required.
- Other qualifications are required by the state, i.e Radiology Certification, CPR, RDA, or EFDA.
- A friendly, positive demeanor with patients and dental office team members.
- Experience with Eaglesoft preferred, not required.
